These exams are aimed at all ages and are adapted to the needs of each examinee. The staff of our Diagnostic Centers are highly qualified and have a high level of experience both in ultrasound examinations of adults, children, and infants, as well as in the excellent use of machines and equipment.
Information on Preparing Patients for Ultrasound Examinations
Upper & Lower Abdominal Ultrasound
· You will need to fast for at least 6 hours prior to the test (only water & medication allowed – no chewing gum, candies, etc.).
· Legumes, vegetables, dairy, and soft drinks are prohibited the day before.
· Drink 4 glasses of water, 1 hour before the test. Don’t pee! Your bladder must be full for this exam!
Upper Abdominal Ultrasound
· Legumes, vegetables, dairy, and soft drinks are prohibited the day before.
· You must be completely fasted for at least 6 hours prior to the test (only water & medication allowed – no chewing gum, candies, etc.).
Ultrasound of the Lower Abdomen – Internal genital organs (and vaginal)
Kidney, ureter, bladder-ureter, bladder-kidney, bladder, prostate. pelvis minor
· Drink 4 glasses of water. 1 hour before the examination (no carbonated or alcoholic drinks). Don’t pee! Your bladder must be full for this exam!
Breast ultrasound
· Preferably done between the 5th and 14th day of the cycle.
No preparation required:
- US Thyroid – Neck
- US of Soft tissue
- Venous-Arterial Triplex
- Triplex Carotid and Vertebral Arteries
- Scrotum Triplex
